Ditton Park Manor Berkshire Indian Wedding Photographer
Few months back I had this fantastic opportunity and pleasure to second shoot for a super talented Rahul Khona from f5 Photography at a wedding of Gita & Arun in a splendid Ditton Manor in Berkshire. And this blog post presents you with a selection of my favourite images from that wonderful day.
The Hindu Wedding Ceremony Photography was done outdoors and as it happened it was a beautiful and sunny day. It was close to perfection for me. The Wedding Mandap right in the middle of the 200 acre estate, facing the Manor and surrounded by the endless green space, and a vey colourful garden, which was in full bloom at that time. A day and a venue to die for!
After the main Hindu Ceremony , came time for some play. At hindu weddings the couple play a game of a vessel filled with water , milk and vermilion. One coin and few shells are placed inside. Whoever finds the coin tree times is said to rule the household. And than it was my favourite ever part of Hindu Wedding Photography – the Vidai. The farewell of the bride is always so emotional and tearful, this one was in particular. This made for some strong images of which I am super proud.
The evening reception took place in a marquee after the couple and guests change of outfits. Evening dress code of long dresses and bows and ties for the guests while the couple change from the red and white into the gold and navy blue.
Cake cutting , confetti, dolhi players and emotional speeches filled in the rest of the evening topped up by crazy partying.
It was time for us to call it a day, with a broken heart as the day was one of the most memorable ones in my career as a Hindu Wedding Photographer. I would like to thank Rahul and a couple for allowing me to be a part of it. I hope to be given again the opportunity to be an Ditton Park Manor Berkshire Indian Wedding Photographer once , or even more, in the closest future.
Enjoy the wedding reportage :)))
