The Lanesborough Hotel London Wedding Photography – Ade & Sukran
It doesn’t happen often that I get booked for a wedding before the venue gets confirm. It all was a last minute deal as initially the event was meant to be an engagement party – that turned into a beautiful and intimate wedding with around 35 guests. So what does one do when one finds out the venue booked is a famous The Lanesborough Hotel in Hyde Park Corner ? One gets excited :))))
I met Ade and Sukran at the Lanesborough Hotel prior to the wedding for their food tasting when I was shown around the hotel. Absolutely and totally gorgeous place. Elegant and classy. I wasn’t expecting anything less. Ade booked few rooms for his Big Day. The wedding breakfast took place in St Georges Private Dining Room. Cake cutting, dancing and a Champagne Bar were held in the Westminster and Wilkins Rooms. Each of the rooms had its unique features like St Georges and its wood marquetry covered walls or Westminster Room with glass roof.
We started our day at the Xanadu Hotel in Hammersmith where both parties were getting ready. As you can imagine the preparations of Groom looked totally different to the Bridal one. While the girls i.e. the Bride and her 2 lovely friends were getting hair and make up done, Groom was out and about with his best mates having breakfast and relaxing. Isn’t it like this at every wedding ? Doesn’t the Groom get dressed 15 min before the departure time nervously looking for his cufflinks or shoes ?
I was well impressed by Groom’s attention to detail in choosing his outfit for his Wedding Day. Hand made shoes from Budapest, bow tie and a black velvet jacket with waist cost. Ade really looked fantastic. Elegant as expected. Going back to the ladies, pop music and giggles were filling the room. Ladies looked gorgeous and I couldn’t get my eyes off from Sukran’s absolutely stunning dress. All this lace. And the back of the dress made me speechless. I think that was one of my fav dresses ever. Trully beautiful. So was Sukran :))
Rolls Royce awaiting downstairs indicated that it was time to leave for the Civil Ceremony. Yet another one of Ade great choices – Hammersmith and Fulham Registry Office. Things got a little emotional here as the bride couldn’t resist her tears while walking into the room and seeing the men of her life awing to marry her. Later on Bride’s best friend got emotional too and shed few tears herself. But we also had some of the most genuine smiles and moments of happiness. Those are the moments that Wedding Photographers are living for.
Wedding Party arrived to the Lanesborough Hotel to be welcomed by a Champagne Reception with Canapes. Exquisite 3 course Wedding Breakfast was followed by the speeches. Some hilarious some truly moving. I don’t think I ever hear anyone repeat so many times that he is the luckiest men alive to marry the most wonderful women on this planet. I believe they are both lucky having met each other :))
Didn’t I say in my previous post that no one dances like Sikh people dance ? I think it was cos I never been to the Nigerian Wedding before. Oh boy, the dancing was crazy with Groom absolutely loving it. Some people got the moves :))))
Enjoy few of my fav images from this wonderful wedding.
