The Dairy at Waddesdon Manor Wedding Photography
Katie and Jason’s Wedding was definitely a highlight of this year’s wedding season.
I met Katie and Jason during their engagement shoot a few weeks prior to the wedding and from their super relaxed and friendly behaviour on the day, and with their positive reaction to the photos, I knew it would be super nice to work with them. I googled the venue – The Dairy at Waddesdon Manor many times, and was very excited by their choice of location. My expectations were exceeded on the day when I saw Katie looking super elegant and shining in her wedding dress. Jason with his groomsmen shared out the thank you/welcome presents with a lot of fun. The venue, the Dairy at Waddesdon Manor, was decorated with an amazingly elegant but wild flower arrangement by Simon Nickel. Just a few minutes into the wedding day and I knew I would enjoy it.
In the The Dairy at Waddesdon Manor Wedding Photography blog below there are lots of beautiful romantic, colourful portraits of the bride, bride and groom and the bridesmaids. However my favourite moment and favourite shots are of super nervous and stressed Jason awaiting Katie at the “altar”. The waiting and anticipation was so nerve wracking for him. I think this was a confirmation of his feelings for her. Katie, I am sure you are in good hands. I just love moments like this. I love nothing more at a wedding than to capture moments and emotion exactly like that. The whole ceremony was wonderful to witness, with all the genuine hiccups and mistakes during the vows and all the genuine joy of the guests.
Funny and emotional speeches were topped up by my first ever Bridal Speech. Hashtag Girl Power. It was bold. It was fantastic. It was a breakthrough. I hope for more speeches by the brides. Well done Kate.
I also have to mention the smoke bomb photos included. It was my first time with them. I had no idea how to approach the subject. The first attempt was a total failure . I didn’t take into consideration the wind that blew the smoke onto the couple. Total failure. We changed the location and had a bit more luck with them. However asking the groomsmen for help spreading the smoke wasn’t the best of ideas, hehe. We ended up with two decent couple portraits and lots of fun failure wedding photos.
I would like to sum it up by saying it was a super fun and emotional day and I couldn’t be happier to have been a part of it.
