Westminster Cathedral St Ermins Hotel London Wedding Photography

I love those weddings that happen during the rainy and gloomy days in London, weather it’s in summer or autumn, but you cant tell that from the photos. And I don’t mean to praise my skills as a wedding photographer but rather a good spirit of a bride and her wedding party.

Joanna & Kajetan Elegant and Classy Wedding at St Ermin’s Hotel in London happened to be on one of those gloomy English days in October. The sky was gray, ground a little wet. It was raining like during the 90 % of the days during a year in this country. But as soon as I entered the Bridal Suite I felt the “heat”. Room was taken over by a group of cheerful bridesmaids, wedding make up and hair artists, bride and her mum. Who got stuck ironing all the bridesmaids outfits :) Bridesmaids being bridesmaids talked, helped each other looked pretty, eat their breakfast and drunk some Champagne. It was a joy to be among those happy ladies.

I was truly overwhelmed seeing not only the stunning lacy wedding dress but mainly the gorgeous bridal bouquet. Made out of white roses, ivy, my favorite ever thistles and Bluestars. It was a wild touch to this rather elegant event. I loved it. Bridesmaids with their matching flowers and baby pink dresses complemented the wedding very nicely.

Next part of the day was the official church part. And Kajetan and Joanna didn’t choose an ordinary church for their wedding. They decided on the London Westminster Cathedral. I wish to photograph  weddings in this Cathedral every week of the wedding season. What a spectacular and grand place of worship.

At the cathedral, yet another nice surprise was awaiting me. It turned out that groom also had his “bridesmaids”. Ladies on his side wore beautiful and matching Nigerian traditional dresses. And they were in blue to keep up with the wedding color theme. Honey for my eyes and for my photography. They definitely made the wedding party more colorful.

After the speeches and a five star dinner time came for my favorite part of the day – dancing. I totally love shooting the craziness of the dance floor. Specially during Asian – Sikh or Hindu Weddings and Nigerian Weddings. I think I underline this fact in every blog I made about those type of weddings. And this time was no disappointment for me either.  Dance floor was full at all times. Even when my as a Wedding Photographer came to an end it was hard to squeeze through the crowd.

This Westminster Cathedral St Ermins Hotel London Wedding Photography was everything that a wonderful and memorable wedding should be.
