Addington Palace is a stunning wedding venue in Croydon, Surrey. It is an XVIII century mansion surrounded by a golf course.
The venue constitute of two possible Ceremony locations. One being the Great Hall , the other the Winter Garden.
This stunning wedding of Will and Sahar took place in the latter ie the Winter Garden. This extremely joyful occasion , once you scroll down to see the images you will notice that the couple could not stop smiling throughout their day, was two in one. The couple first did their Nikkah ceremony , which is an Islamic marriage, to later conduct symbolic exchange of the rings. The Winter Garden was beautifully decorated with stunning florals: red Roses and pink Hydrangeas to top it up he room has lots of windows so was flooded with natural light. My absolute favorite.
As it was a winter wedding the sunset time was quite early. It correlated perfectly with out little couple shoot. Addington Palace Wedding Photographer couple shoot happened during the golden hour. Stroke of luck.
After the formal part of the day being out of the way the party and the reception was moved to the Grate Hall where the couple held a surprise for their guests. They changed into African outfits and performed some African wedding traditions. One of them being groom spitting milk on the bride – i believe for good luck ??? Ha ha . this was actually a fan bit. After that the dancing started and as you can imagine it went on for few hours non stop with the dancefloor packed to the brim.
I would like to mention the fantastic planner Sian from Busy Brides. Who helped out to organize this beautiful event and ensured it run smoothly on the day. Always happy to work with this fantastic lady :)
